Rainbow Day Nursery are delighted to announce the introduction of additional extra-curricular classes to the nursery from September.
Rainbow Day Nursery is proud to announce the start of new, pre-school, music classes! In conjunction with Bromley Youth Music Trust we will be singing our way through the next academic year, having fun with musical instruments, puppets and songs with Gina Storey.
Gina started out as a professional cellist and teacher for many years, until having a daughter gave her a new insight into music and early years learning. From attending baby and toddler music groups, to having her own franchise of “Musical Bumps”, she now finds herself in the position of working full-time for Bromley Youth Music Trust and developing a new curriculum of pre-school music classes. Music is a fabulous way to encourage your child`s development in many different ways; sharing and turn-taking, the ability to listen and my personal favourite, learning the word “stop”.
“Music is promoted as a tool to work with in language stimulation, math comprehension, motor skills, or as a tool to bring in different cultural elements in the preschool.” (The Importance of Music in Preschool Education, Anna Ehrlin Mälardalen University Sweden, firstname.lastname@example.org)
Our aim is to support Gina who will take your children on a musical journey, from very simple songs and games to confidence-building solo spots and part singing, having fun along the way.
