Rainbow Forest School were delighted to welcome the Worshipful Mayor of Bromley, Councillor David Jefferys to officially open Bromley’s first full time Forest School. Children and their families eagerly awaited as the Mayor cut the green ribbon to allow the children onto the site. The children and families explored and investigated a range of exciting learning opportunities with their children. The Mayor and Mayoress were joined by local councillor, Julie Ireland, who discussed the importance of affording children the time and space to play outside where they can discover the wonders of the natural world. The Mayor then planted a living Christmas tree with some help from the children. This was followed by afternoon tea in the club house with a chance to share a scone and a cake or two
